Home / Solutions / Tokenized Deposits

Lead practice. Community banks and credit unions.

Keep your deposits at home, and make them move like software.

Deposits keep drifting toward the largest banks. Tokenized deposits let your institution keep them on your balance sheet and offer always on, programmable money, working alongside your existing core.

01 What they are

Same deposit. New way to move.

Plain words for your board: what a tokenized deposit is, and how it differs from a stablecoin.

Tokenized deposits

Your deposit, recorded on a ledger

  • A claim on your institution, just like a deposit today.
  • Stays on your balance sheet, so it can keep funding local lending.
  • Keeps the protections and oversight of a regular deposit.
  • Can move around the clock and follow rules you set in advance.
Payment stablecoins

A token backed by a reserve

  • A claim on an issuer, backed by reserve assets.
  • Reserves sit outside your loan book.
  • Regulated under the GENIUS Act as a separate product.
  • Useful for some payment cases; a different decision from deposits.

Simplified for orientation. Treatment of any product depends on its structure and your regulator; this is not legal advice.

02 Why now

The calendar is set.

Public catalysts are lining up for 2027. Boards will ask what your plan is.

Peers are exploring together

Credit unions and community banks are joining industry groups and pilots to learn how tokenized deposits could work for institutions their size.

03 How we help

Advise. Select. Build.

Start with a decision, not a contract. Go further only when the fit is right.

STEP 01

Advise

Board briefing, readiness review and a use case short list for your members or customers. A clear yes, not yet, or no.

04 Board ready answers

Questions your board will ask.

We answer these in every briefing, in plain language.

Do we have to replace our core?

No. Tokenized deposits are designed to work alongside your existing core. Your core stays the system of record; we map how a token ledger connects to it.

Are tokenized deposits still deposits?

That is the design goal: a deposit claim on your institution, recorded and moved in a new way. We walk through how your regulator and counsel are likely to view your specific structure.

How is this different from issuing a stablecoin?

A stablecoin is backed by reserves held outside your loan book. A tokenized deposit stays on your balance sheet. We help you decide which, if either, fits your strategy.

What would our members or customers actually do with it?

Common starting points include business payments that settle around the clock and payments that release automatically when agreed conditions are met. We help you pick the cases that matter locally.

What does compliance look like?

Your existing BSA, AML and consumer protection programs still apply. We outline the controls, reporting and vendor oversight a program would need before anything is built.

Can we join a shared network instead of building alone?

Shared networks are forming, and we assess how your institution could connect to them as well as what you would want to own yourself.

What should we decide before January 18, 2027?

Whether to act, watch or wait, with reasons your board can record. A briefing gives you that answer.
